2009 is a s.h.o.c.k.i.n.g year.





Today is just the 2nd day of 2009, and I've received 2 shocking news. Not exactly bad, but shocking. My eye balls almost popped out of their sockets.



and both news involved 2 of my used-to-be-best-friends-but-now-just-normal friends. erm. apparently, both of them are my kindergarden friends (can't believe i still keep in touch with them), and all our parents know each other since like, 12years ago. Ahem. Anyway, the two shocking news. (I shall not put our photos in case anyone do know them).



1. My guy friend is becoming a dad.



apparently today his mum called my mum to tell us about that news. and when i heard it, i was totally STUNNED. the girl is younger than him, and she's like, a mother of a baby girl?! and my friend is like, 17years old, and a dad?! omg. and his mum invited us to sort of go and visit the baby. and i'm like, ?!!. it's damn weird to hear such news coming from your friend. and it's like, O_O.

and somemore that guy's name is Jun Jie. and while my mum was telling me everything, she kept confusing herself up and instead of Jun Jie, she kept saying Junqiang. LOL. it was something like:

mum: eh!!! u noe aunty call me tell me junjie father already leh!!!
me: huh?! O_O SERIOUS AH!!
mum: ya lor!!! that junqiang hor. really want to slap him leh!!
me: orh.. *didn't notice she said junqiang instead of junjie*
mum: ya lor!!! that stupid junqiang. young young only become father liao. TSK!
me: *stunned* HUH!? *coz i realised she said junqiang*
mum: nor! that junqiang lor. u noe the girl very young or not?!
me: MUMMY AH!!! It's Jun Jie, not Jun Qiang!!! HAIYO!!!
mum: oh ya hor!!! HAHAHAHAHA *bursts into laughing fits*

and throughout the whole convo, my mum kept saying it's Junqiang instead of Junjie. Lol. and whenever i pointed it out, my mum will say, ''aiyah same lah. both got Jun also.". Lol.

2) My girl-friend is a karoke hostess.

yes i know it isn't a very glam thing to say. but when i heard this from my mum, i was rather shocked. all the while since kindergarden all the way till primary school, she has always been smarter den me and stuff. and now that she totally gave up on studies and jumped to being a karoke hostess. haiz.. and we're of same age somemore. HAIZ..

but my mum said that she knew that my friend would become like that since young coz of parental influence. ohwells... )):
